Had issues passing out last night. Got about 2 hours of sleep
Woke at 4am to the sound of mom n stan scrambling to get ready for work. Woke to have a morning cigarette with mom. Said our good byes and hit the road by 6am. I-80 here we come.
Crossed into PA around 7 am with a thick fog lingering in the mountains. The fog was makin me sleepy.
Around 9;30 the sun made a grand entrance into our day so we stopped for fuel n food around 10 o'clock we already were 200 miles into the trip
Passed the Highest point east of the Mississippi on I-80
Around 1:14 we crossed into Ohio. Where we thought we may have entered the twilight zone. We were greeted by a lighting show off in a distance and very unique cloud formations. The slow motion bugs had gotten bigger as they one by one hit the windshield. If I'm correct the date is august 1st n may of 2011 has passed already . But signs of judgement day may 2011 still hung in fields n according to the radio cinco de Miao is like next week. I really thought cinco de Miao ment the 5th of may. N that was a few months ago. So strange insert twilight zone music here. Then We stopped to fuel up n looked at the weather small scattered showers that were quick passing. Lol. Well they were wrong. Huge heavy down pours found their way to us. Made for an interesting drive. Luckily the storms went away after Toledo.
I still don't understand why they charge such a high toll to drive I-80 thru Ohio. $13.50 to be exact. the best attraction off I-80 in Ohio is cedar point. Cedar point is ohios great adventure/six flags like amusement park only better n we didn't have time to stop to play. Maybe another day.
Around 5pm we crossed into Indiana oh wait they charge a crazy toll fee too I think $7.50. Ans gas is $4.20 a gallon here eekkk. The butterflies were fluttering around the fields n were everywhere it was a beautiful sight to see.
730 miles into the drive we hit the time 1st time zone change where we went back an hour.
Once we hit 739.9miles we decided it was time to rest for the night
It is 6:30 pm n we pulled off in Chesterton indiana.
Got a really nice hotel with a indoor pool sauna n jucuzzi . Which was a score at a great price. We unloaded the car then went to the front desk to find out what is local n good.
We ended up getting Drinks n dinner at hooligans pub n grub. Waited about 20 mins for drinks. Slowest bartender n waitress in the world. It came to a point where courtney went up to the bar to kindly ask if she can have our drinks n they wouldnt let her carry them back to our table. But once we got everything I must say it was tasty n exactly what I needed.
After dinner we went to get beer n found out they only sold Warm beer only. Go figure.
We took our beer back to our beautiful non smoking room. We decided it would be a great idea to go out on out balcony to smoke a cigg n i sat down n omg it was Attack of the spiders out there. There were about 15 lil creepy 8 legged creatures reps ing from the roof n crawling on the hand rail. I ran inside screaming.
Soon after we decided to go swimming n use the Indoor pool it was a little chilly but so nice. We swam laps and tried swimming the length of the pool underwater with out coming up for air I so failed n only made it about 1/2 way. After about an hour of swimming we decided it was bed time n headed back to the room. Ah a big comphy bed in a nice hotel room is so what I needed right about now.
